Today I Put Pale Blue Glass Beads into a Small Jar
Thu, June 18, 2026
When I moved pale blue glass beads into a small jar on the white desk, even the evening light looked tiny and clear.
This evening, I gently moved pale blue glass beads into a small jar on the white desk. The light coming through the window was still soft, and each little bead gave off a faint blue sparkle. When I picked them up with my fingertips, they felt a little cool, and the tiny sound they made as they fell into the jar echoed softly. As more pale blue gathered inside the clear glass, it felt as if I was collecting small pieces of the sky I had seen today, and even the inside of my heart seemed to grow clearer. When the curtain moved lightly, the shadow of the jar shifted in a round shape across the white desk. Instead of hurrying to pour everything in, I wanted to spend time looking at each bead as it passed through the light. Nothing big happened today, but the small sounds and pale blue color gently filled the evening room. At the end, I closed the lid and placed the jar by the window. The beads rested quietly inside, layered together. When morning light comes in tomorrow, I think today's calm feeling will sparkle with them too. I only gathered tiny beads, but it made me happy, as if I had put the day away with care.
