Today I Arranged Pale Blue Glass Chopstick Rests
Mon, June 15, 2026
When I lined up pale blue glass chopstick rests on the white table, even the morning light looked small and clear.
This morning, I gently arranged pale blue glass chopstick rests on the white table. Soft light came through the window, and a clear blue sparkle gathered along the edges of the tiny glass pieces. As I placed them one by one with my fingertips, they made light little sounds, almost like small drops of water lining up on the table. When I looked through the transparent parts, the white surface underneath bent slightly, and that small corner of an ordinary morning felt like a quiet waterside place. Today, instead of rushing into anything, I wanted to spend a little time looking at the neat shapes. Each time the curtain moved, the slim shadows of the chopstick rests moved too, and pale blue light gently loosened across the white table. Even though they are tiny tools, having them nearby made the morning air feel more settled. Before putting them away, I held them closer to the window light once more. The pale blue glass felt cool in my hand, and even my feelings seemed to become a little clearer. I hope tomorrow I can notice something small and bright like this again.
