Today I Let a White Lace Curtain Move in the Breeze

This evening, I put the freshly washed white lace curtain back by the window. When I gently spread the slightly damp fabric, a soft breeze slipped through from outside, and the lace pattern looked transparent in the pale blue light. The cloth still felt a little cool against my fingertips, and a clean soap scent stayed in the air. Each time I straightened the curtain, thin shadows swayed slowly across the white floor, almost like tiny waves moving through the room. Outside the window, thin clouds drifted by, and even though it was evening, the sky was still a bright soft blue. As I watched the curtain dry, the small tired feelings from the day seemed to loosen in the breeze. I did not do anything special, but clean fabric letting in light made the whole room feel lighter. Before night came, I stepped closer once more. The lace had begun to dry softly, casting shadows like white flowers near the window. Tomorrow morning, when the light comes through this curtain, I think I will remember today's gentle breeze. Wrapped in clean white and pale blue, even my heart felt a little washed today.
